Are your teens involved in any activities?
By Aurelia | July 9, 2006
I personally think that extracurricular activities are very important for our teens to take part in. It gives them a chance enhance what they are good and and to work with others on something that they truly enjoy.
My 15 year old daughter is an usher in church, an ROTC Cadet and also a cheerleader. She loves all of these activities but the thing that she enjoys the most is meeting new people and working as a team with others.
What are your children interested in?

I agree - kids need to be busy with extra curicular activities. My kids are busy with - Aikido classes, guitar lessons, and choir/band. They are also busy with church activities once a week.

I agree that teens need to be involved. It keeps them active and involved in school and the community. They make new friends, expand their horizons, and learn so much about the world that they won’t learn in school. My girls are involved in soccer, basketball, track, volleyball, band, chorus, and summer theater. They also have their own business, which has been a fabulous learning experience for the whole family. A kid that is busy doesn’t have time to get in trouble, right?
The flip side - are kids doing too much? It’s a constant battle around here to fit everything in and still have a family life.

Right now…no. Just Band and Cheerleading…they train and practice mostly for the summer. It is has been a odd summer…usually they do sports in the summer…but for this year…the older they get…the more things changes.

Hello everybody,
I’m new here and reading your interesting posts to learn new opinions about teens’s education. I’m Italian and want to know how children are growing far avaw from here. My dream for my sons (18 and 9) is to let them study abroad, but it’s not easy. Maybe my elder son will be doing a master next year.
Thank you for your helpful website, I’ll be reading it often from today.
P.S. Excuse my English…and grammar mistakes.
