Teens and Christmas Presents

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

We had a wonderful Christmas this 2006 - the teens got lots of presents and they look like they liked all of them. My daughter got clothes and make-up - I guess a teenage girl’s dream come true - and my teenage son got video games. I added some pictures below to share with you how “content” they look with some of the goodies they got this Christmas.

What are you getting for your teen this Christmas?

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

I was wondering what you were thinking of getting them for Christmas this year. Money is a bit tight this year - I know my teens want:

  • mp3 Players
  • Clothes
  • Digital Cameras
  • Digital Video Recorders
  • Books
  • I think we’ll end up getting them some books and a new set of clothes but … will have to hold off on the electronic gadgets. I will most likely hand-make something fun for them - not quite sure yet but, I’ll make sure to keep you guys posted.

Do your teens save up for Christmas Shopping?

    Thursday, December 14th, 2006

My teens usually receive a coin bank every Christmas from Grandma. They usually save their change in the coin bank and closer to Christmas, they open the coin bank and count the money they have saved over the months. They then divide that amount into 2 equal amount - half gets deposited to their bank and the other half they use to shop for Christmas gifts. A couple of days ago, my son, Niko - opened his coin bank and started to count and realized he didn’t save as much this year. I guess since he is in highschool already, he tends to spend most of his money before he remembersto put it in the coin bank. Below is a picture of him counting his change.
